MVNA is an independent contractor that provides the Public Health Nurse (PHN), required by Minnesota statute, to complete the assessment which determines if a person qualifies for Personal Care Assistance (PCA) services and, if so, for how much PCA time. PCA services help a person with day-to-day activities in their home and community. PCAs help people with activities of daily living, health-related procedures and tasks, observation and redirection of behaviors and instrumental activities of daily living for adults. PCA services are are available to eligible people enrolled in a Minnesota Health Care Program. MVNA is not a provider of PCA services, other than the PHN assessment.
