Caren Gaytko, RN, PHN, MA
Senior Director of Community Care

Caren has more than 25 years of leadership experience in hospital, LTACH, SNF and home health settings providing the full continuum of services to patients, families, and communities. Prior work includes serving as the Chief Nursing Officer for Regency Hospital, Director of Nursing for HealthEast, and Manager of the North Memorial Hospice and Palliative Care Program. Ms. Gaytko is a graduate of the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, and Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota where she obtained her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. In her role at HCMC, Caren is the Senior Director of the Community Care Ring which includes oversight of all of the Hospice of the Twin Cities and  MVNA divisions, in addition to Transition Care and Care Plus Clinics located on the HCMC campus.

Julie Endres-Spray, RN, PHN, MA
Clinical Director, Home Health

Julie has over 29 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with 18 of those years in leadership positions. She is a graduate of the College of St Catherine, where she earned her Associate and bachelor’s in Nursing and her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.  Prior experience includes being Nurse Manager at United Hospital in St Paul, Minnesota and Director of Homecare for Shepard Park Home Care, a division of StuartCo. Julie is the director of MVNA Home Health, directing oversight for all home care services for Hennepin Healthcare System. Julie is actively involved with the Minnesota Homecare Association and has served on the board of directors for the Minnesota Nurses Association.

Anna Mueller, RN, PHN, MA, IBCLC, RLC
Clinical Director, Family Health

Anna graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nursing. She also graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN with a Master of Arts degree in Nursing Education. Prior to coming to MVNA, Ms. Mueller spent 14 years at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) as a staff nurse and moved into various leadership positions including nurse manager for Breastfeeding Services, Childbirth Education & Parenting classes, and the Obstetrical Testing Unit. Anna has spent her nursing career focusing on the clinical areas of Women’s & Children’s services, including providing postpartum, antepartum, labor & delivery, and newborn care in the hospital setting. She is also an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant and served as the team leader for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Designation for HCMC. Currently, Anna provides operational and strategic leadership for the Family Health division at MVNA, which provides home visiting public health services to at-risk families in the City of Minneapolis and suburban Hennepin County.

Patti Keefer, RN, BAN, MAOL
Clinical Director/Administrator, Hospice of the Twin Cities

Patti has more than 26 years of nursing leadership experience in hospital, long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) and post-acute care settings. Patti has served as Clinical Director and Director of Nursing at HealthEast Bethesda Hospital (LTACH),  Clinical Director of the HealthEast Float Pool, System Director of Nursing Practice for HealthEast Care System and as HealthEast Hospice clinical manager. Patti currently serves as Clinical Director/Administrator of Hospice of the Twin Cities as well as MVNA’s Flu and Worksite Wellness. Ms. Keefer is a graduate of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing and Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.
