Club 100 is a volunteer arm of
MVNA. It pairs men and women in the community with MVNA nurses and
their at-risk family clientele.
Hope....
Identify what brings
hope to a family.
Joy....
Identify what would
bring joy back into
a family's life.
Self-Sufficient....
Identify interventions
that encourage self-sufficiency.
-
These families
have one or more small children and a limited amount of resources.
-
Their life is extremely
challenging, thus it is the goal of Club 100 to support these families in a way
that the medical model can not.
-
Not unlike the circumstances
that inspired women in 1902 to found MVNA, Club 100's goal is to pair at least
100 Community men and women with at least 100 "at-risk" families and make a tangible
difference in their lives.
-
The members of Club 100 are
divided into teams. Each team meets regularly with
Nurses and Home Health Aides that are providing nursing services to Club
100 families.
-
The teams learn about the needs
of clients and then find ways to provide basic necessities as well as personal
items for the families to let them know that they are valued and cared for.
-
Club 100 members feel that their
energies and gifts are helping people in very direct ways and make a dramatic
difference in their lives.
-
As a member of Club 100,
you not only feel satisfaction from helping others, but gain personal perspective
as to how fortunate you are and what a dramatic difference you can make
in the life of someone who is not.
