Who:

General Public:
Child Care Professionals, Teachers, Foster Care and other Home Care Workers, Camp Counselors, Work-site Staff for First Aid / Response / Safety Teams, Restaurant Workers, Faith-Based Organizations, Youth Athletic Coaches, Community and Private Groups, Families and Caregivers

Health Care Provider:
Nurses, MD's, Dental, Emergency Personnel, Lifeguards, all other Health Care Providers.

What:

MVNA offers Certified Instruction on the topics listed below. Classes are four hours in length. Class #3 (below) meets DHS Rule 2 and Rule 3 requirements. Book purchase is optional. CPR classes feature 1 to 1 student / manikin ratio.

Class #1: CPR / AED - General Public
Instruction includes: CPR, relief of choking techniques, step-by-step instructions for AED, use of barrier devices and other up-to-date information

Class #2: CPR / AED - Health Care Provider (BLS) - Renewal Class
Instruction includes: One and two person CPR for infant, child and adult, AED, mouth-mask use, choking techniques.

Class #3: Pediatric First Aid Training for Infants and Children
Instruction includes: Management of illness, medical and injury emergencies more specific to children until professional help arrives. This course is recommended for Accredited child care centers or those in the process of being Accredited.

Class #4: First Aid Training for All Ages
Instruction includes: Manaagement of illness, medical and injury emergencies until professional help arrives.
