MVNA nurses provide a full range of Home Health Care Services for clients.  Nursing staff participates in ongoing educational training to update their clinical and technical skill levels. Clients can be assured that our in-home care is safe, effective and of a high clinical quality that meets standard medical practice.

Skilled-Chronic and Maintenance Levels of Nursing Care~

Services Include:

●     Skilled observation and assessment of: vital 
       signs, response to medications and treatments,
       as well as teaching safe home management of
       various acute chronic diseases or disabling
       conditions.
●    Post-surgical care, wound care, blood draws
●    Bowel and incontinence care
●    Instruction in Diabetes and Cardiac and
      Respiratory Care
●    Administration of intramuscular/subcutaneous     
      injections
●    Teaching and administration of intravenous
       therapies
●    Instruction in ostomy, ileostomy and colostomy
       care
●    Instruction in gastric feeding tubes
●    Services to the terminally ill

Home Health Aides~

MVNA home health aides provide home care services to meet day-to-day personal needs of clients, enabling them to remain as independent clients and live in independent living situations.  All services are provided under the direction of a registered nurse.  Some of our services include:

Homemakers~

MVNA homemakers provide companionship and socialization and help with day-to-day household needs.  Our staff works with clients to develop an activity plan and determine appropriate service hours.  Some services include:

bulletMeal preparation, including grocery shopping and meal planning
bulletLight housekeeping
bulletLimited personal care services

Respite Program~

MVNA's Respite Program provides in-home respite care for families with young children who have significant developmental delays which could also include medical conditions or emotional/behavioral problems.   By providing temporary relief to the care giver(s), the respite program promotes positive family functioning which helps alleviate the stress included in caring for a special needs child.  Services include:
